Meet the Artist

Natalie N. Newton is a fine artist and illustrator based in Phoenix, Arizona.  In 2019, she earned her B.S. in Biological Sciences and her B.F.A. in Drawing from Arizona State University.  Her female portraits typically involve nature or contain multiples of the subject in a single composition. She enjoys using watercolor, gouache, pen and ink, markers, and especially colored pencils to draw.  She has also branched out into rendering digitally and using acrylic gouache.  Through her pieces, Natalie explores female strength and complexity to challenge the highly curated portrayal of women in media.  Natalie is currently pursuing a master's degree in Psychology at Arizona State University.  When she isn't busy working or studying, she is chipping away at yet another drawing in her studio.
